In 1995, a leading U.S manufacturer, Beaulieu of America, realised the need for a manufacturing presence in Australasia, purchasing the business of Sterling. To further cement its place as a leading manufacturer in Australia, Beaulieu purchased the business of Vogue Carpet Mills in 2000, a similarly sized business also based in Queensland. The operations of both businesses were merged into the one site at Rocklea. Steady growth and an expanding innovative product range, led to the building of new premises at Ormeau in Queensland in 2003. This provided the company with a state of the art manufacturing facility, enabling improved efficiencies through better plant layout and process flow, and providing the space necessary to invest in the latest carpet manufacturing technology.
